The IU1703 & IU1704 threat mitigation units from Energetics Technology revolutionise the rapid and safe isolation and removal of IED threats in high volume screening situations, often associated with high volume cargo operations. Internally lined with SABREMAT TM.
The primary purpose of these units are the isolation and safe storage of explosive samples whilst present in the laboratory.
A steel fabricated cubic box with perforated steel sides and sliding door (left or right handed).
The door locking mechanism is spring loaded to allow for a single action positive closure, this means that the door may be shut and locked in a single operation.
Both units come fitted with four 150mm diameter pressed steel castors and non-marking treads allowing for low rolling resistance and high abrasion resistance.
The units do not rely on electronic, pneumatic or hydraulic components, preventing unit failure or initiation detonation.

IU1703 - I Drawer. A single chamber tested with 500g explosives
IU1704 - 2 Drawers. Each with four chambers. Tested with 250gs explosives each. Each drawer is designed to hold four standard H83 / M2A1 Ammunition Containers - eight in total.
