AMT MINI DETONATOR CANISTER   Highlights

Designed for use by specialist military police operators who need to transport detonators safely in operational environments.

Enables personnel to carry a single electric or non-electric detonator with complete safety.

Protective container has a slot to accommodate the ignition cables of a (still connected) detonator.

The neoprene sleeve is fitted over the outside of the protective container, serving to absorb the shock in the event of initiation.

AMT Det canisters are best carried in a waist belt webbing bandolier (holds 4 units). This can be supplied on request.

Available in various colours.

USAGE 

Please ensure that any detonator which a User intends to carry in the AMT Mini is adequately tested in the AMT Mini before acceptance.  The AMT Mini has been tested with a known detonator and a small additional explosive charge to allow for variations in explosive fillings. This does not negate the need to independently verify specific detonators.

Variations in detonator explosive type, explosive loading and shell profiles can affect the performance leading to possible failure of the container. Only commercial detonators of a known build standard should be used.

Improvised or homemade detonators should not be used with the AMT Mini.  The AMT Mini is not a certified method of pack for any detonator and should only be used by trained and competent personnel, once tested, and with the appropriate dispensation.

Testing Capability

The AMT Mini Det Canister has been tested with a No.8 electric detonator initiated inside the chamber with no fragmentation or external blast effect being produced.

In addition to simulate EOD activity, the unit has also been tested with a No.8 electric detonator together with 0.5grams of C4 adhered to it.

Again, no fragmentation or external effects resulted.
