DCU 1000 Highlights
The DCU1000 detonator containment unit has been independently tested and is certified to reduce the UN Hazard Classification and compatibility group from 1.1B to 1.4S, making it compliant with road and air transportation regulations and therefore enabling cost effective logistical options (individual competent authority documents required for transport). The DCU1000 is a steel fabricated cubic box with perforated steel sides and full-face opening door. Internally lined with Energetics Technology’s proprietary SABREMATTM materials to the generic cross-sectional configuration. In addition, the core of the unit consists of 16x aluminium modules lined with SABREMATTM . The door locking mechanism is by three individual catches with captive trunnions. The unit does not rely on any electronic, pneumatic or hydraulic components. The function and operation of the DCU1000 can be achieved by a single user.

  • Holds up to 400 detonators with an individual NEQ of 1.49g / 0.05oz 
  • Suitable for most detonators up to a maximum NEQ per chamber of 37.25g / 1.31oz

  • Takes boxes of detonators up to 360mm / 14.2’’ long (e.g.no.8)
