DCU 560 Highlights

The DCU560 is designed to store explosive samples and contain the hazardous effects of detonating explosives. *


Used for primary and secondary explosive substances and articles. The DCU560 has been tested with 6 x 6g C4 explosive samples giving a total 46.8g (TNT Eq) NEQ.

Typical users are explosive manufacturers, EOD teams, special forces and military engineers.

It enables users to transport store up to 36gs of explosive materials.

For transport of samples by road, sea or air, local competent authority must be sought.

The DCU500 range is widely used by demining companies, NATO and EOD teams (Army, Navy, RAF) worldwide and has applications in demolition, quarrying, mining and construction.


Using the DCU 560
Explosive samples are placed in plastic vials. Each vial is inserted into the body of a steel flask. The lid of the flask is then screwed into position and the completed flask placed in one of the chambers within the unit. Note: the maximum quantity of explosive permitted in each vial is 6g NEQ. This is noted on the label on the outside of the flask.The lid of the DCU560 presses down on the flasks to hold them securely.
